On Saturday, Xavier played for a bye in the A-10 tournament. XU took on Charlotte and Xavier was predicted to win by 11 points, which was close. Charlotte came out strong, with Braswell leading. Braswell ended the game scoring 28 points and grabbing 1 assist. But, a strong home support and a great senior effort brought Xavier to defeat Charlotte 72-63. Saturday, the Bearcats took on Villanova. Cincinnati lead early, only to have Villanova attempt to strike a comeback. Yancy Gates lead UC with 16 points and 9 rebounds while Wayns of Villanova had a great performance scoring 26 points and earning 5 assists.
